Why this obsession with more RAM and computing power?

We all have different computing needs like browsing the web, editing documents, development, running our own home server or editing movies but for me personally I never really felt the need to have more than 8GB of RAM or processor beyond i5 earlier generation, that means my computing needs

Display battery percentage and current time in dwm statusbar

Have you ever wondered how the current date/time or battery status is displayed on your taskbar? When you use #ArchLinux with #dwm it will give you full control to do whatever you want to do like display anything you like in the status bar. Today let us do something simple like displaying the battery status and date/time.
