Couple of years back I was introduced to the idea of POSSE. It was basically after reading Dries post. Apart from videos I post pretty much everything on my blog.

This blog has the following types of content.

• Notes: Short updates, checkins and photos
• Blogs: Long articles

I of course use heavily on this site taxonomy and views to organise the content. This site is currently managed using Drupal Compose projects and now I have a workflow from local to production and it makes adding new features very easily.

Coming back to the topic - I post my content here and I then syndicate it elsewhere, you can know more about it on this page -> POSSE. I am quite happy with this approach and it definitely feels good to be in control of your content. There are things like videos which you can really upload on your own server. It will consume the bandwidth very quickly and you need to upload videos on YouTube for the traffic and audience.

To after quite a while I did some cycling and now thinking of making health my priority. You can watch me doing cycling and also enjoy the beautiful summer day in UK.

Weather has been great in the past few weeks and whenever there is sun, the flowers blossom. There are plenty of flowers in our garden. I clicked few pics as well.

Today I spent some time redesigning the videos page on my website. The page now has a grid of videos and I feel it makes it easier for the visitor to find the videos. This is in continuation to the work I was doing on this site to make the content more organised.

Lot of people ask me this question about mock test when preparing for Jira Administration exam. We as an Atlassian experts or anyone with these certifications are not allowed to share anything beyond what is mentioned on the certification portal.

I however make lot of content around Atlassian tools. I have hundreds of videos and content online that people refer to. I am in a process to organise all that content in a way that can be treated as a learning path or in simple language a course. People land on YouTube videos after searching and that is fine but if someone wants to learn something then there should be a path that he/she can take, starting from getting started to mastering that skill.

When consuming a content a good way to revise key aspects of that content (video or article ) is to take some tests, quiz or flash card. I also ran a vote on twitter asking people to give their suggestion and most of them agreed to having a mock test.

When learning a new topic do you prefer taking online mock tests? Especially when you have to clear an exam or certification.

So in the next coming weeks I will be preparing theses structured course which is not a big effort for me because I already have the content, all I need to do is organise it properly on this site.

The course will have the following.

- Tests
- Flash cards

I hope it will help first of all me to go back to some of the content that I made in the past. I usually end up searching on this site on my local notes. Second it will also help people looking to start their learning with absolutely no background.

For instance if you want to learn Jira and you have no priori knowledge, then how do you start? Do you want to learn Portfolio for Jira to managed your projects but you are not sure where to begin? Or may be you want to learn automation in Jira using ScriptRunner but you have no programming experience in Groovy?

I already have hundreds of videos on these topics on my YouTube channel and lot of blogs on this site but apart from Drupal's wonderful aspect of organising content using taxonomy I will be creating guided structured learning path courses.

Last year I started using Drupal Composer project to manage my sites and quite enjoyed it. I made my development to production workflow and also shared the whole process in a video.

I now have development, staging and production environment. Code goes from development > staging > production. Content is usually latest of production of course and from time to time I refresh my local with content from live.

I am planning to write series of blog post to explain the whole process.

I was unable to cope up with the number of comments on this blog. Most of them were spams submitted by robots. So I decided to disable the comments but it doesn't mean you can't reach out to me. You can still use the contact form on the site or subscribe to my newsletter.

I recently upgraded my Mac to Catalina I faced two problems with OBS and found the fix/workaround as well.

1. Display was missing.

Give OBS permission to record.

2. Hotkeys were not working.

Start OBS from terminal.

open /Applications/OBS.app/Contents/MacOS/obs

Writing a good resume is important whether you like it or not but resume is not the only thing you need.

• Key is to make your resume stand out.
• More importantly focus on building a good overall profile.

5 Tips to make a good profile.

• Tip 1: Freshers should highlight on their projects and internship. Experienced people should focus on work experience.
• Tip 2: Always modify the resume slightly based on the job your are applying for.
• Tip 3: Mention your key skills and main competency.
• Tip 4: Nobody cares about your hobbies unless it adds value to the job.
• Tip 5: Have a blog, Github profile, YouTube channel, Stack Overflow profile that showcases your skills and your journey.

NavIC is in news these days because of the phones getting released that supports it.

Let us understand what is NavIC?

• Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System.
• Developed by ISRO.
• Operational Name: Navigation with Indian Constellation.
• Phones with compatible chipsets will use NavIC as the first preference before using GPS.
• It is a regional navigational system. Only works 1,500 km (930 mi) around India.



• There are plans to expand the NavIC system by increasing its constellation size from 7 to 11

Benefits of NavIC

• GPS is not accurate (20m), NavIC will be super accurate (5-10m) because NavIC has dual frequency (S and L bands).
• Much faster than GPS
• Focussed for Indian region

Jira is great tool but it cannot do each and every thing you want from it. Of course there is a marketplace to download apps, you can build your own app and do scripting to do more fancy stuff but is there any specific feature that you were looking for but couldn't find in Jira?

I logged into one of my Jira Cloud instance to realise that I can enable the new interface which looks like Jira Server version. It was actually the case for many years but couple of years Atlassian changed the interface with sidebars on the left. People complained a lot and they didn't like the new interface. Especially those who were using Jira for years.

I think Atlassian listened to the feedback and took this really seriously and decided to bring back the old interface. It is not exactly the same but you won't miss Jira Server now.

So today I came across a forum topic where there was a discussion about best YouTube channel or an online resource to learn about tools like Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.

Atlassian is growing and people/organisation are adopting tools like Jira a lot more now but it is surprising that not many resources are available outside Atlassian Community where you can learn and discuss about it. However it is just a matter of time and things will change eventually. There are lot fo resources of the blogs and websites of various Atlassian vendors as well.

Recently I achieved the SAFe 4 Agilist certification after attending 2 days of training. The course is really good, I enjoyed those 2 days where we learned formally about various phases in SAFe implementation. I did work on some aspects of SAFe previously but I never did a formal training and that's why I was able to relate to things I did before. After those 2 days of training I did few days of preparation for the exam. The certification is achieve after clearing the exam which is I would say not the easy one. It is important that you study your notes and the material given to you during the course.

I am happy I achieved this certification. It will definitely help me a lot when I am working with organisations trying to solve problems when scaling up and adopting Agile and DevOps practices.
